You also lose all the cool overclocking tools and whatnot that come with every alienware computer. That XPS is great looking deal but its only better than the Aurora if you are on a tighter budget and/or want a smaller footprint,..I was torn at the start though. Upgraded my PC last weekso the Alienware is no longer required. This thing is a beast it weigh's 20kg! I may still have the box in the shed but not sure of it's condition.I will be removing the hard drive.but will include a Kingston 250gb SSD and product id for Windows 8.1, all the drivers I want to buy a new pc, and I found that there is the "New Alienware Aurora". I know that the Alienwares are overpriced and stuff but now the prices look more abordable. My brother's computer is an alienware aurora r5 desktop from dell, pre-configured, windows 10 version 1903 build # 18362.449, with the only additions/changes being a new 500 GB Samsung 970 Evo SSD (for whatever OS updates, programs that can't be installed I've been looking to pull the trigger on an Alienware 51M for a bit, and I finally did on the 4th. It was supposed to be that my unit was to arrive the 13th, then Friday I got notice that it was suddenly going to be the 18th, with no explanation. This Alienware desktop is back at Costco again for $1389 Alienware Aurora R8 Gaming PC-Intel Core i5 9600K-1TB HDD/256GB SSD-16GB RAM-Geforce RTX 2070 Great prebuilt for the price! Get it before it disappears again.
